Summer’s Over! Time for Natural Cold and Flu Prevention and Treatment

It’s that time of year when we put our bathing suits away and start bringing out the scarfs and jackets. These seasonal changes bring greater variations in the weather that cause the body’s natural defenses to be in flux. Thus it’s time to build up the immune system before the super bugs start to develop and take hold of us.

The natural way to avoid colds and flu starts with eating healthy, exercising, getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of water to keep the body functioning optimally. Try to stay on a schedule, keep healthy snacks handy and nourish all aspects of yourself. It turns out, prevention can go a long way to avoiding ever getting sick.

However, as the Fall “back to school” season and holiday mode starts to kick in, the obvious is not always as practical as we’d like.
