Kale Margarita Recipe

May 5th, 2015

Did you know that on Cinco de Mayo Margaritas account for about 50% of all cocktail sales in the United States? Margaritas are refreshing and delicious, but not always the healthiest option. We’ve got you covered with a yummy Kale Margarita recipe from our friend Jason Mendenhall of The Wayland in NYC.

2 ounces of your favorite blanco tequila

1 ounce of lime juice

1 ounce of agave nectar

3/4 ounce of ginger and kale mix

Smoked or regular salt for garnish

Lime wheel

Salt half the rim of an empty glass with smoked or regular salt (a little lime juice will help the salt stick). Fill the empty glass with fresh ice. In a separate shaker combine ice, tequila, lime juice, agave nectar and ginger & kale mix. Cover and shake well, then strain into your salted cocktail glass. Enjoy!
