DIY Antibacterial Home Spray

Instead of using Lysol or other disinfectants, try making your own natural antimicrobial mist with essential oils. It’s a simple, easy and effective all-natural solution that will help keep your home germ-free and clean.




· 2 oz spray bottle

· Distilled water or vinegar

· Black Pine, White Pine or Ponderosa Pine essential oil (20-25 drops)

· Lemon essential oil (20-25 drops)


How To: 

1. Fill a 2 oz spray bottle with distilled water or vinegar.

2. Add about 20-25 drops of lemon essential oil and 20-25 drops of pine essential oil to your water or vinegar. You want the essential oils to make up about 5-10 percent of your spray.

3. Shake well and mist the air when needed.

Allergy Fighting Benefits of Bee Pollen

There are millions of people who suffer from plant allergies each spring. Wouldn’t it be nice to find a natural and effective way to alleviate those itchy eyes and runny noses? Bee pollen could be a game-changer, helping you take control of your allergy symptoms without the use of pharmaceuticals.





– Bee pollen is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, minerals and healthy fats.

– It’s made up of about 40% protein, making it a natural superfood.

– It cannot be synthesized/replicated in a laboratory.

– Bee pollen is safe to ingest in small doses.

– Pollen can be extracted from a hive without harming the bees.


Ingesting and Investing:

1. Ingesting small amounts of bee pollen can help drastically reduce the histamine directly caused by allergen build-ups in the body. This will result in a decrease in allergy-related symptoms, such as runny noses, swollen itchy eyes or throat.

2. When treating allergies start by taking about 1/2 teaspoon daily, and after about a month, slowly up your daily dose to about 1-3 tablespoons. Adding bee pollen to a smoothie (check out our anti-allergy cleansing smoothie recipe) or yogurt is a great and easy way to transition bee pollen into your diet.

3. When purchasing bee pollen, it’s important to buy local to ensure that you’re building an immunity to local pollen and plants in your community/region. Also, it’s recommended to select pollen with a wide range of different colors because it contains more plant varieties.

4. Be sure to keep refrigerated, and your supply can last up to a year.



To ensure that you don’t have any negative reactions from the bee pollen, it’s advised to test a few pieces on your tongue for a couple of minutes. If you remain symptom-free after that time has passed, chew slowly and swallow the pollen. Be sure to wait at least a day before consuming larger quantities.

If you are highly allergic to bees stings, pregnant, breasting feeding or are taking any type of blood thinners, consult with your physician before using bee pollen.

Makes 24oz smoothie

1 cup papaya

1/2 of a lime

A handful of dandelion greens

1/2 cucumber

1/4 cup raspberries

1/2 pear (bosc)

1/4 cup blueberries

1 teaspoon bee pollen

16oz coconut water
