10 Ways to Treat Yourself (Guilt-free!)

Here are 10 of our favorite guilt-free indulgences:

(so you can have your healthy, low-cal cake and eat it, too!)

 

1. Whip up an easy homemade egg white and lemon juice facial mask.

2. Take a 5-minute yoga break to invigorate your day.

3. Try a whole wheat, low-fat chocolate cake in a mug. (5 minutes to microwaved bliss!)

4. Go window shopping. Treat the gorgeous shoes, silky dresses and leather bags as your personal eye candy – look, touch and feel to your heart’s content. Even if you don’t buy, you’ll still get a high from indulging in all that beauty!

5. Make a low-calorie healthy milkshake. Blend a frozen banana (or any fruit of your choice) with a bit of sugar or sweetener and skim milk. (Thanks to our Facebook fan, Alaina, for the tip!)

6. Be your own barista. Brew a homemade personalized tea with herbs and spices of your choosing. Take that, overpriced coffeehouse!

7. Never underestimate the power of a new shade of lipstick. Try a pop of pink to take you into the spring season.

8. Commune with nature. Visit a new park or a local nature reserve for a brisk walk or some bird-watching = instant mood-booster.

9. Learn a new makeup trick on YouTube, like how to do a classic red lip or a celeb-inspired smoky eye.
